Path of Exile

If you felt like me that blizzard was not giving a damn anymore about gamers and fans but only about money, well you will surely find a substitute with Grinding Gear Games and their awesome effort called Path of Exile. A REAL free to play (not pay to win) hack'n slash that will submerge you in a dark and odd world with an intriguing story line about religion and alternate history that will catch you and you'll never be able to come back as you were. Those who were waiting for a good Diablo successor and got literally disgusted by the way blizzard now makes games, you can't go wrong with Path of Exile. A ton of skills gems, a skill tree of neverending proportions and a hell of a bunch of action and fun. Be wary, this game is hard and only the bests will survive the shame of defeat.

The Blinding of Isaac

The Binding of Isaac is a Roguelike game that brings back some good old memories that only Legend of Zelda could achieve. For those who are not used to roguelike games, here's a link for you: Wikipedia. The first aspect of the game that will hit you, is that it seems to have been made by a disturbed mind. The story of a child  who's being attacked by his mother because God told her to and then fall in his cellar to be trapped in a total nightmare is not the kind of regular story that you will often see in video games. I must say that the story gives to The Binding of Isaac a certain charm and you'll want to laugh when you'll see the shocked face of the guy beside you while you're in the bus or the metro when he'll look at a little guy shooting tears (or bloody tears) to vagina-like monsters on the screen of your computer. Another amazing thing about this game is the number of different object you will find. There are A LOT of them. When you die in The Binding of Isaac, you'll find yourself always saying "one more time". It's so addictive and I keep discovering new aspects in the game even after more than 90 hours of gameplay and for only $4.99 on Steam, what a bargain! The DLC Wrath of the Lamb is a must too, it adds lot of contents and the very cool trinkets items. On the downside, there's no multiplayer mode, not even local coop and that would have been awesome! Another aspect that can be an issue with some computers is that the game uses Flash. Some computers with an idle and a silent mode on their CPU might lag and sometimes random lags comes out from nowhere and that can be a pain considering this is a very small portable game that you would expect to be smooth to play with a top notch FPS.
